Chris MacAskill from SmugMug took his Canon 5D Mark II. This is full 1080p video, and it’s gorgeous! You can see the original version (much larger) here.

At first, I thought it was a pathetic pre-commercial for the hotel. What a wonderful use of a vidcamera. Congrats, I applaud, loudly, from San Diego!

Impressive. Joi Ito also posted some great stuff from his first few days: http://vimeo.com/2396726

Hi — has the video been edited in any way (color corrections, balance etc.)? Awesome anyways.

As far as I know, no it hasn’t been changed. He just took it out on the streets of San Francisco and shot.

VERY cool!
My 5Deux is at Canon in Irvine getting repaired right now (WHWHWHAAAAAAAA! Yes, there was, and still is, weeping and gnashing of teeth!). I’m so sad because I’d pre-ordered, like a good little Canon shooter, on the day they were released, got it, used it for a few shoots, then it went wacko. Now it’s off at Canon. I hope I get it back for New Year’s!! I already missed being able to shoot HD Xmas movies! Canon always takes care of my repairs really well, so I know I’ll get it back in perfect working order, but I don’t know how much longer I can wait without going nutso!!!
