What is GeekBrief.TV?
GeekBrief.TV is Shiny, Happy Tech News. It’s a 3-5 minute video podcast, released 4 days a week. We cover news about technology, consumer electronics, and Web 2.0 projects.
A “podcast” is simply an audio or video show that’s released on the Internet. You can watch the entertainment YOU want, when YOU want, and where YOU want. Watch on your iPod, your phone, your computer or your TV. Whatever your interest, there’s probably a podcast about it!
Podcasts are free to watch. Don’t let the word “subscription” fool you. Producers either do their shows as a hobby, or like us, support the production with advertisements.
You can either watch on the website, www.geekbrief.tv, or you can subscribe to have each new episode delivered to you, in the format you want (remember, it’s free!) Click the links below to subscribe.

How do I get my product/service on GeekBrief.TV?

Are there GeekBrief.TV or Cali Wallpapers?
Some of our personal ones are here.
We released the first GeekBrief.TV December 23, 2005, never having done anything with video production, on camera or off. Three weeks later, we had 3,000 viewers, and got shut down by our hosting company for exceeding our bandwidth limit. PodShow came to our rescue and got us back up and running on their servers, and we’ve been partnered with them ever since. We now have millions of downloads a month. At exactly the 5 month mark, we announced that PodShow Network had made it possible for us to quit our day jobs and podcast full time. It’s been an amazing ride!
Neal Campbell and Cali Lewis are the two people producing GeekBrief.TV. Here’s a full list of credits.
I’ve heard about the G.I.A. What is it?
When we first came up with the idea for GeekBrief.TV, we had the idea that I would be Cali Lewis, the International Director of the Geek Intelligence Agency (the G.I.A.). It was a pretty constant backstory to the show in the early days. This page will tell you more about the G.I.A., and this is a complete G.I.A. Agent List.
How can I get my picture to show up when I leave a comment?
This site uses Gravatars, as do a lot of websites. All you need to do is sign up for a free Gravatar account and upload a picture. From now on, when you post, your picture will show up! Just make sure you use the same email address here that you used at gravatar.com.
How did you make yourself into a cartoon character?
On Twitter and other sites, my icon is a great drawing from the wonderful @Nitrozac. She and @Snaggy created the Geek Culture site, a must-read. They do a weekly comic called The Joy of Tech. When they turned me into a cartoon for the 2008 Macworld Expo Celebrity Checklist, I freaked out! It was a bigger deal to me than being featured in the New York Times. You can have them create a portrait for you or a friend, too.
