Shownotes:
I love the TruePower AC Outlets with USB Power from FastMac.com. Replace your regular AC outlets with these and add USB power all throughout the house.
The fitPC2i is a very small PC (4″x4.5″x1″). It’ll run Windows 7, Windows Server or Ubuntu.
The Rocketfish WirelessHD Adapter will transmit a 1080p signal wirelessly to maybe an HDTV or a projector.
If you need more USB power while traveling, the 3 Port USB Hub is a good option. It’ll only work during charging, not syncing though.
The CrunchPad was declared in the Deadpool by Mike Arrington, the creator. It’s turned into a bit of a soap opera because, according to Arrington, he was told he’s no longer part of the project. We’ll hear from Fusion Garage CEO Chandra Rathakrishnan on Monday.

What’s going on with the video quality?

Those power outlets would be fantastic to have around the house, can’t wait for approval. Side-note, your credits are from 2008, just pointing out.

Ah good, it’s not just me with weird video issues. It’s on like a 5 second fuzz/artefact wigg out timer

Internet Content Consumption Device? I think you left out a few words there no? Nice background though :)

I ordered 2 of the outlets :) Note to those that haven’t check the website: It says in the description that the order won’t actually be charged until they are ready to ship.
there’s one thing I want to know, though – what’s the little square in the upper right corner of the outlet? My guess is a small LED to indicate usb power usage? I’m quite curious.

I know there is a mac tablet, my brother works on it, 2010 first keynote

Yeah what’s with the low res?

I would love to see how the fit-PC2 handles Boxee loaded on it or MythTV install like KnoppMyth. The DVI over HDMI is a good thing, but it would be nice to have HDMI out.

Hej Cali,
I got a bit of a ‘back to the future’-feeling while looking at your scrolling text at the end of the video (don’t know the official word for that, maybe outtro) it said (C) 2008, whoweee :)
I definately will look into those outlets, lets see if they come in European flavour too.

Hey Cali, I noticed the last couple of briefs don’t have the higher-res versions…did a breakout box die?
Great work tho…
Happy Holidays!

Cali,
You mentioned the need for a small system with a PCI slot. Have you looked at http://www.polywell.com/us/oem/ITX-30A.asp or http://www.polywell.com/us/oem/ITXModelChart.asp

Cali
There is also a lot of work-arounds for cards that are normally installed in a PCI slot.
Devices like the YBox2 Kit can output directly to a TV
http://ladyada.net/make/ybox2/index.html
Audio interfaces can built to use significantly less power then two pcs using something like then an internet radio fashioned out of a wireless router and a USB audio card

What about any surge protection on the device?
I would hate to charge up the old iphone only to see smoke rises from the ear piece. . .
