Wow. Just wow. So, do you think Microsoft got their money’s worth out of that “I know nothing about the subject but here’s my recommendation anyway” endorsement? Gotta wonder…

what the? how is this even endorsing IE8? She negates everything she says. “I’m a huge computer lover… I almost said that with a straight face” Doesn’t that mean that she isn’t a huge computer lover, because she couldn’t keep a straight face, because it was a lie? “The guys over at Microsoft sure know… [teleprompter reading glitch] their computers!” “I have to go check my [wink] emails” Again, I would assume that she is not doing that and couldn’t care less. What a stupid idea of Microsoft to use this. Is this just a joke or do they think they are getting anything out of this, just through controversy? I don’t think it worked at all. I could care less about IE8 and I’m not even going to check it out (since that would be all they would really want me to do).
Peace out, Hans

Well, in fairness, it’s obviously not aimed at people who actually do ‘love computers’… Anybody who’s half interested in computing knows that… If they really must use Internet explorer, they should probably be using the latest version…
This, is clearly aimed at people like good ol’ dolly, who really couldn’t give a shiz what browser they’re using… Lots of people still use the browser that came preinstalled on their computers, just because it’s there, and it (pretty much) does what it’s suposed to.
Whenever I hear anybody mentioning IE nowadays, they’re either slagging Microsoft for the way that they impose their useless, standards incomplient browsers on people by not offering any choice, or hinting that one should upgrade to the latest version, before death befalls your computer… Or… I’m about to begin slagging them for those reasons.
This, in my eyes, is Microsoft attempting to slap people like me in the face, by actually saying… ‘We’ve written a new product, which is a little bit less crap, and totaly bloated with useless features a bit similar to things in other browsers, but completely different, and henceforth not very good, but cool anyways’.
Rant over. (Was mostly ranting at ms, not the previous poster tbh…)
