While I’m searching for a *good enough* upload speed in LA to post Brief 534, I thought I’d post this video of the Asus Eee Keyboard PC. I’m not sure why I’m so interested in this one, but I am.

Wow. What a little thing of beauty.

When will this badboi be on the market?
March 24th, 2009 at 9:59 am
Cali here is a shoot @ why you are so interested in this. Don’t think of it as a keyboard with a computer in it, think keyboard with a iPhone/touch stuck to the side. Then remember that there is full bluetooth support coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

That is very cool! I’m not sure what I’d use such a small screen for but it is funny. Instead of the keyboard getting smaller and the screen getting larger it’s just the opposite.

I am stunned at the cool factor and the possible applications. Retail POS, not to mention every other public facing data entry kiosk… Why bother with a kiosk when you can shrink it this small and create a big GUI on that small screen for your particular data entry app. I could turn this thing into self service data recovery workstation. Thanks for the post. Mark.

Interesting idea, but, grossly overpriced. I’ve been looking for an inexpensive pc to leave in my vacation home for guests to use and was drawn to this – until I saw the price. I guess I’ll go back to some of the low end laptops I’ve been looking at.

Now that is an interesting concept, am looking forward to it being “Cali’d”…

Interesting concept but I’m not sure what the target market would be. I guess if you needed a computer in a small space you could hook up a small monitor and have a fully functional and very compact PC. The built in monitor seems almost pointless though. Cali what kind of applications do you see this being used for? It’s not like it’s small enough to be ultra portable like a netbook so why the tiny built in monitor and battery power?
