This Brief is meant to be extra jolly because it’s all about pet gadgets, but I was a little stressed when we shot it so I seem a little off my game. I start with a Wireless Doorbell Mat that alerts humans when a pet wants to go outside or come back in. iSeePet360 is a Webcam built into a dog feeder that can be controlled over the Internet, but it’s only available in Japan. My favorite doggie gadget on this brief is called PetPeek. It’s a bubble shaped window that gives your dog a view through a fence. I also provide a little too much information about our dogs personal patterns when I introduce the Pooch Potty. Sorry about that. Thing in a Bag is a toy for cats, and the Doggie Driver Tennis Ball Launcher sends tennis balls up to 100 yards to be fetched.

…mmm…Drobo….(he says in his best Homer Simpson voice) You sounded different today…sort of like someone was sleeping in the next room.

Yeah, I was a bit stressed out today. :)

Drobo seems like a great idea, but I want it in a NAS package. Honestly, what's the use of being able to store that much data if I can only connect it to one computer (and I know that I could share the drives, but that means the computer has to always be on, which while the computer usually is, I don't want to be stuck keeping it on just so my other computers can access the data. One of the more annoying things (problems) I run into occasionally is not being able to reboot a computer what I need to because of external access or something else that the computer is doing.)

Can someone tell me the name of that Nickelodeon show from the 80's where the kids got green slimed if they said, "I don't know"?

what are you talking about? you seemed your usual, perky, energetic self. someone looking at the show for the first time would think – oh, nice! cute stocking stuffer gadgets for pets in time for the christmas season. i think you're over-juding yourself. you did fine.

!yeah, I think the t-shirt refers to 'You Can't do that on TV'. A Canadian production where Alanis Morissette got her start. And No, Cali you weren't off today at all.

It is a reference to You Can't Do That on Television. Ahh, the memories. Barth…ha!

It'll come out in time…I'm sure. There's really not much they'd have to do to implement it. I'm guessing it already has some customized version of Linux running on it to handle all the logic. Adding a network interface, turning on NFS/Samba, and selling it would be like a weekend project I'd think. I'd get the USB one though. I have a few pizza box servers in the basement that it would sit nicely next to.

Great content….perhaps if you did a little less "conducting" you could relax. Watch the show, turn down the volume, and play some Beethoven….you will see what I mean.

If you don't have a Gigabit Network NAS is a pain to use. There should be a Drobo with Firewire 800 / eSATA.

Yep, that's it!… Thanks!
