We’re taking the week off from producing new shows, but last week we had Jonathan Davis, Student Filmmaker, come in to shoot some special episodes. He interviewed Neal and me about how GeekBrief.TV got started two years ago. Jonathan shot it, edited, and did post production, and if you have any feedback for him, I’m sure he would appreciate it.
Leave him a comment here, or email him at thatguyknows [at] gmail [.com].
This episode is sponsored by the Sony MDR-NC60 Headphones. You can find out more at sony.com/headphones.

OMG DO NOT tell me that you have the entire Gilmore Girls set in the background! I have been looking at Walmart for DVD's & keep popping into the Gilmore Girls DVD's. They look a lot like the DVD's I saw in the background of your podcast on x-mas. #0279. I WILL be so jealous, & yes I am straight, I just love Lauren Graham on that show. My wife will be SOOOOO like her as crazy as it seems. Marcus

Haha! Yes, that's the entire series of Gilmore Girls on DVD. You should be subscribed to the Stars Hollow Podcast. There's a whole support group for straight guys who love Gilmore Girls. :) http://www.starshollowpodcast.com

Your coffee… is just flat our ridiculous. I mean, I remember when splenda was first sponsoring and you talking about it all.. but to see you use all that with your super coffee machine is insane, haha. and that just can't be good for your health, heh

Constructive Criticism/What I didn't like/What you can do better next time: -You shoulda made Cali say what episode # it was at the beginning. -Too much time spent on the coffee-making. About 1 minute of coffee-making for a 5:46 show. The cuts you had when she started making the coffee was good. -Coffee-making out of focus. -Black transition in between segments was almost 2 seconds long. -What happened to Cali's coffee? We spent 1 minute on showing it but it's no longer an actor. -Dogs are well behaved – good job. -If you're going to talk then have a mic on (i.e. when you asked how did you get started). It was hard to hear you. -Have the interviewee's look at the camera a little more instead of talking to each other. -Does Neal have an above the knee amputation?! -I didn't understand why you only showed one of the talkers off to the edge instead of constantly showing both or cutting back and forth during talking/reaction. -Instead of letting them talk maybe it would have been a little better if you asked some quick questions instead of letting them ramble on and showing Neal get uncomfortable and taking a sip when Cali said he used to be 'unambitious'. -Better lighting? Other than that it was great. I'm just nitpicking one some of the comments but you have a Mac so I know you can do better next time! :) Good job!

Thanks for the Feedback everyone. Most of the things you mentioned I became aware of myself after watching it a day after I had it released. I laughed when you said "Neal and Amputee" because I said that myself when I was filming it but forgot when I changed my shot to fix that. I appreciate all of the comments though, and I feed off of constructive criticism, so anything I need to do to get better is fine by me for you to nit pick at. ~ J

With that much cream and sugar, I take it your drinking coffee purely for caffeine? Should checkout the caffeine section at ThinkGeek.com.

Cali! I thought you said you liked CREAM with your coffee?? You have a $2000 coffee maker and load it up with stuff from a box????
