In this episode, we stop by the FastMac booth and talk to them about their new iPhone iV. It did two things people at the Expo really liked. It extends battery life of the iPhone by almost three, and it has a light that can be used either with the camera, or just as…well…a light. It provides 24 hours of talk time and 21 hours of video playback. It also has a USB port and dock connector for different types of input. I also stopped by the Dream Cheeky booth, which might be the most fun booth at Macworld. It’s home to lots and lots of crazy USB toys, including a USB green house and the MSN Rocket Launcher (which isn’t compatible with Mac, but that didn’t stop anybody from enjoying it). When the booth dude shot me with the missile, I accidentally plowed over a nice little boy.
We shot enough stuff for at least twelve episodes. Most of the other stuff moves faster than this one, but I wanted to get the FastMac iV story up because there’s a Macworld discount available for pre-ordering right now.

Cali, I saw somewhere that you want the Mac Book Air, but you would sell your Mac Book Pro. If it is in good condition and you are selling it for a reasonable price, a lot of people (including myself) would be interested in buying it.

Are any other Safari users having problems showing the comments on the front page? It says "loading" but nothing comes out.

Hilarious! You should consider adding "Cali runs over a small kid" as a every-show-sidekick event. Love it!

You should have given the kid a couple of free shots at you with the rocket launcher!

I haven't decided if I'm going to sell it yet. It's in great condition. I plan to come to a decision this week, so look out for the announcement on the show.

Is there a misprint on the price, in the show you said $69, on the website, it says pre-order for $79, but when you go to add to cart, it raises it to $99?

Checking with Fastmac. Probably I won't have an answer until Monday.

Interview tip – let the poor SOB talk without interupting him every 5 seconds. Product review tip – if your going to talk about something, at least read the box first before you make some uninformed comment about it. (And watch your horseplay!) And while I'm ranting on… I'm disappointed in your lack of enthusiasm over CES when compared with MACWORLD. Your daily podcast is mostly about gadgets – which is what 95% of CES is about. I know you love MAC but this attitude you have really makes me think about deleting my subscription. If I wanted to listen to a MAC bigot, I would subscribe to all of Scott Bourne's podcasts. I hope that you will lessen the alienation of your faithful non-apple viewers. I've followed you since you were on The Tech Guy getting help from Leo about your show. I hope that I'm wrong with this assessment about you.

P.S. – I'm not saying don't do apple stuff. I think that if your going to be gushing about apple, do it in iCali.

Sorry Ryenstein, if you want a podcast that doesn't gush about Apple, you'll have to look elsewhere, especially during Macworld week. This is the time we celebrate the computer we love. We want you to love it too. It's okay that you don't yet…you will. You'll be drawn to the Mac slowly and eventually your resistance will break down and when you switch, you'll understand why we gush. Apple inspires creativity. Linux inspires investigation. Windows inspires problem solving. The Apple inspiration is the one we're happy to evangelize.

@Ryenstein: iCali fan tip: don't be a douche. Let 'em podcast. They're professionals.
