Nokia N95 | Nokia N800/N810
My dog has just had knee surgery and needs a lot of attention, so we’re releasing the last bit of footage we have from Macworld. I talk to ExtremeMac about the Luna 2 and H2O Audio about their underwater iPod cases and headphones. Who can count how many times the word “underwater” is used???
You can get a Nokia N810 for 15% off at podshowoffers.com (more details here. Use Promo Code “geekbrieftv”.

Totally dig the show, but even seeing the Nokia N810/N800 link makes me sad. I was driving to the hospital to see my grandfather last week and left my N800 on the roof of my car.
That grippy case kept it on my car for almost 3 miles, but it did fall off. And I did run it over with my car. It was uber dead after that, but the SDHC card still works and it was in pretty good cosmetic shape for being run over ;)
Keep up the great show!

Oh my gosh! That’s not good! I’m so sorry about the N810…and your grandfather. Is he okay??

@ Cali, wow is this the new podshow flash player? I didn’t think you were using that yet. Looks good!

@Lindsay – this is just their normal Flash player, not the one Neal and I were talking about. Not yet! :)

Sydney should be renamed Cali Jr. She makes great eye contact with the camera and just about a cute as her “Mom.”

This may seem a bit weird, but have you actually done a review of the N810? After going to the Nokia site and reading up on it, the one thing that strikes me as odd is that they do not talk about any actual phone features. Is it a phone? Or just an internet appliance?
March 7th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
Yeah, the review was here – http://www.geekbrief.tv/gbtv-0278-geekbrieftv
It’s an Internet Tablet. It’s not a phone, but you can make VoIP calls.

Great episode, but you misspelled “doesn’t” in the beginning as “dosn’t”. Feel better Sydney!

I looked on the right side of the screen and noticed “Cali” the CD is available for purchase. When I clicked it, it brought me to Walmart… but that isn’t Cali?
March 9th, 2008 at 7:07 am
(I meant it brought me to Amazon not Walmart)
March 9th, 2008 at 10:23 am
I’m guessing you must have clicked on the Amazon ad bar. There’s a singer named Cali…certainly not me! :)

So, howcome the TiVo episodes take so long to get uploaded, seems to happen once a week that they do, and all 5 for the week download at once.
On Friday my TiVo downloaded 5 episodes, then I watched some on Saturday and there were the next 2. Huh?
March 10th, 2008 at 1:52 pm
I believe we’re all caught up on our compression of TiVo episodes. There’s a step in between us uploading and it getting on TiVo – someone has to transfer them. I’ll check on it!
