Qik.com sent a couple IOGear GearJuice mobile Pocket Power chargers so I can always “go live” when I’m out on The Big Trip. Each one will charge a mobile phone up to 3 times before it needs to be charged.
The MiniStation Turbo USB from Buffalo Technology is the smallest 500GB, 5400 RPM USB hard drive I’ve ever seen.
Revolabs has a wireless USB mic designed for VoIP and Podcasting. The charging base stays plugged into your PC or Mac and the mic clips to your shirt so you can walk around the room.
Crgslst is a service that allows location-free search from Craigslist, and Acer announced their new Gem Stone Blue line of notebooks.
Jason Calacanis is really excited about almost having 10,000 Twitter followers and I’m a little jealous, so I’m trying to catch up. Help me by following me on Twitter! :)
Thanks to Geoff Smith for all his help with the “New and Improved” Geek Brief Radio. We’re covering the same stories on GBR, but now Neal joins me to talk about the stories. Give it a listen and let us know what you think. If you like it, you can subscribe in iTunes or download it here or get it from PodShow.

Hey!
I’m a loyal watcher of GeekBrief.tv, but I tried out GBR and I liked it. It would be cool if that conversational style could be brought into the videos, but I know that would probably mean a complete setup change. As for GBR, I streamed it from the site to my iPod touch, and the quality was great, except for the slight hiss (probably the one Neal said he could hear). It was faint until I turned up the volume halfway through the stream, then the sound was a little anoying. However, I love the format! Keep up the great work!

Hey Cali,
Could you talk more about rack-mounting everything?
Me and my roommates got broken into and our video game consoles were stolen (among other things, computers, cameras, etc). The solution? Buy new ones, mod them into a rack, and lock up the whole rack.
Since none of us are experienced engineers, we haven’t got very far. Could you please email some of the things you are gonna put in your rack, ha. Maybe, you could do a show about good DIY rack resources, please!

Cali, when I subscribe to any of your feeds in iTunes and sync them to my iphone all I get is audio. Any clue why?
March 14th, 2008 at 10:46 am
By the way, when I view them via an RSS feed directly from the browser on my iPhone they work great, but I’d rather have them portable, ya know?

@Frank Gilroy, Cali may have already answered this directly, but it sounds like you may be accessing the file through the “Podcasts” pick rather than the “Video” one. Even if it’s a video file, going to it through “Podcasts” will only give you audio.
