Shownotes:
Microsoft announced an update to the Zune. The most exciting of the features is the ability to tag songs from the FM radio to buy over WiFi or later when you’re connected to your computer.
The Nano predictions were right, curved screen and all. Apple also updated the iPod Touch to make it thinner, with a contoured back. Both have the new Genius technology that will suggest songs and playlists.
iTunes 8.0 is now out. The Grid view is fantastic! TV shows will now be offered in HD for $2.99. Oh! Oh! Oh! NBC is back in the iTunes Store.

You are a HOOT! I LOVE your singing! ;) I have so much to learn about the iPods…as I have a Nano from last Christmas and STILL don’t know how to use it!! UGG!!

I really LOVE the new opening! Is it here to stay for a while? Today’s Apple event was a success for me in that there’s nothing I saw that makes me need to go out and buy a new iPod. The new ones look nice for someone who doesn’t have one or is looking to upgrade, but nothing that will supplant my iPhone as an all-round everything gadget. Best news for me was the return of NBC to iTunes. A pump-the-fist-in-the-air moment if there ever was one.

Cali, this episode was just too cute. :) I really love the new intro!
I had to send in my iPod Touch today. The apps weren’t working anymore and recently, it wouldn’t hold a charge. I wonder what Apple will send me for a replacement.

Hi! i quite agree with you about the new nano which looks uncomfortable to me.
I used to be in China and saw some fake nanos, and one of them is generally the same outfit design as the new one. The Chinese were trying to sell fake nano by enhancing the screen on the first generation nano and saying ‘ours can do movies, can apple’s do?’.
When I saw the new nano I just thought of those fake ones- maybe the reason i dont like the new ones. I actually thought the rumor photos came from China.
anyways, I love your show; I love Steve Job’s Keynotes, and I’m ABSOLUTELY going to by the new ipod touch

Great opening. New logo definitely rocks!
A little bit “live room” sounding, eh?
Tightshots are great, steady that cam -please don’t go handheld ever!

Uh-oh. “Genius” is Apple’s new “i.” Soon, we’ll see GeniusTunes, GeniusPod, GeniusWork. The hybrids of which will start with Apple iGenius.
The new opening is great, Cali! And I think the site redesign is much cleaner and looks good.

I too love the new opening. I think you sing just fine and loved the GoDaddy jingle.
I was pleased to see that Apple made some great changes to the Touch. I have a 1G Touch and love it. It was essentially replaced my Palm TX as a PDA. The only problem with the new 2G is I want one and can’t afford it!!
Keep up the good work.

I think you should do the GoDaddy jingle every Brief ;) I would recommend more shaking, but then you’ll just wanna spank me.

Hi All
I love my MacBook, my iPhone 3G and yes, my Zune80. I run a 6 yrs old desktop PC with XP and the wireless sync with my Zune works w/o a glitch. After using a 1st gen nano for 3 years I needed a larger HDD and the Zune works better for me for these reasons.
- Display is larger than the iPod Classic (3.2″)
- Zune players can be updated via software to use new features.
- I don’t hate Microsoft/Vista.
- I don’t like iTunes to purchase music. Amazonmp3 is my store.
- Is not perfect but is getting there with updates. Audible!!!!
- Yes iPod touch can be better but I need more that 32GB (even with the new price).

Yeah! Thank you “fantastic” iTunes 8 for the first BSD i ever seen on Windows Vista. This crapy software is just getting worst and worst. I’m going back to CopyTrans Manager.

Hi Cali,
You have played with the Zune 4/8GB and the iPod Nano, if you could have only one, which would it be and why? :-)

Thanks for this

Yes .. I found die opening scene music.
I am loving the sound .. jingle at the beginning of the “new” cool opening. It’s called “Sideman Strut Short.caf” and it comes with Final Cut Studio (Soundtrack 2.0).
:o)

Oh.. it’s not “Soundtrack” .. it’s “iLife Sound Effects” ;-)
