Shownotes:
The Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR is getting the most buzz out of all the announcements Canon made today. It has a 21.1 megapixel camera and captures full 1080p video. It’s actually pretty speced out.
Kodak is showing off the first digital photo frame to use an OLED display at Photokina (photography trade show). It has WiFi, a 7.6″ display, 2GB of internal memory, a built in card reader and a USB port.
The Iomega eGo Helium portable drive gives you 320GB of storage and weighs less than half a pound. Drop Guard technology helps to protect the drive for the clumsy (like me).
If you have OTA (over the air) HD, and are tired of dealing with the unsightly antennas, RCA Flat Antennas might be of interest. They’re supposed to fix a couple issues you get with existing antennas, and they’re designed to fit with your decor.
You can save money on domain name registrations and renewals from GoDaddy.com with discount codes GB1, GB2 and GB3. For an explanation of each code, click here.

Oooohhhhh! LOVE the new do!!!!!
September 17th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
When you put the graphics for GB1 GB2 and GB3 on the screen, you should have them stay across the bottom, start on the left and move to the right, so they stay there. Just an idea!

Wooo – you weren’t kidding about the hair in twitter. Must feel a whole lot lighter.
Very chic and high style, like posh spice :))
You pull it off well, won’t be sorry to see it get to your tinie tiny bit longer bob look though. :)

Holy crap! Now I’m gonna have to watch the vid when I get home!
September 17th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
#431, it’s all about the hair! Love it! Very cute, and don’t worry, people will stop talking about the follicles and pay attention to the tech again soon :-)
September 17th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Holy haircut, Batman!
Was that hanging microphone situated behind you or was it an image or shadow?
September 17th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
Thanks for the comments about my hair, everyone!
@Patrick: The mic was actually right there behind me.
September 17th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Nice cut.
September 17th, 2008 at 9:03 pm
WHOA! Is it just me or does her new haircut remind you of Florence Henderson from the Brady Bunch? Either way, lookin great Cali, keep up the good work!
September 17th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
Love the new hairdo! Very stylish. Looks great, Cali!
September 17th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
Love the new look; very classy!

I teach at a technology college and by popular demand, we watch you every day in my computer repair class. I can’t wait to see my high-schoolers reaction to this ‘cast tomorrow.
(They’re all already madly in love with you.)

Dayum!! Yes this is another off-tech comment about your foxy new hair :) breath-taking!!
September 18th, 2008 at 1:33 am
Hi Cali,
so you also got me now! Finally started using Twitter yesterday because of you (and many others). And now you just put on that you have a new hair cut and I immediately had to see it. It looked good, very good, so I wondered what you looked like before, and I had to watch some old episode again… Now you know that I’m a man ;) Good job, good hair, love you, mean it! ;) (This time these phrases really make sense, hehe…)

So first a black, longsleeve shirt to mimic Jobs, now a hairdo like, oh I don’t know a certain Weekend TravelChannel personality… Can you said “Identity Crisis”?
September 18th, 2008 at 8:00 am
I like this setup. And your new hair. :)
September 18th, 2008 at 8:39 am
I like all of the recent changes with the set. However, unlike my esteemed fellow commenters, I do not think your new do is you. You look too much like the airhead bimbos without a brain in their head.
We all know this is not true, as you most definitely have a brain in that pretty little head of yours. :)

New haircut? I didn’t notice. I was too distracted by the oddly placed mic off her left shoulder and the needless animated graphic lines on the left side of the screen. And what’s up with standing/sitting behind those Mac monitors? Product placement?
September 18th, 2008 at 10:01 am
gotta love this girl.. lovin the new do
September 18th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
Great show, should be on tv too.
A beautiful woman talking about tech stuff, what more could anyone want. A bit too Apple/Mac`ish though, however it beats your average Windows oriented Podcast shows. I only wish there existed a Linux Video podcast show of similar quality, know of any? Lastly, I love the “thanks for watching” ending comment.
Feels like Cali really values her viewers.

General consensus from members of my classes today (see previous post): “Drop-dead Gorgeous”.
(Funny, none of my guys seemed to notice the microphone, graphic lines, or the Mac monitors.)
September 18th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
Oh… the Molly Mullet invades :)
September 18th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
Nice hair but did anyone else notice the echo in the sound ?
September 18th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Most people pronounce EOS as “ee-ose” (long “o”) as opposed to spelling out E-O-S. There was quite a bit of extra reverb this episode. Did you guys remove some furniture?
September 18th, 2008 at 7:14 pm
I love the new setup with the silky smooth background, but that microphone seemed distracting. Nice new do btw :D
September 20th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
what did you do to your hair?!
September 21st, 2008 at 10:40 pm
What did you do to your hair Cali? You used to be so pretty.
September 27th, 2008 at 4:37 am
hey, what happened to GBTV#430? PS. I prefer your look with short hair!

Not a fan of the new hair. It’s a great cut, just doesn’t look right on Cali. I was hoping to see an attempt at the new Sarah Palin look just once but now it’s too late!
