Shownotes:
Brief #452 is the last stop on our Little Big Trip, this time in Turner Falls, Oklahoma. Thanks @Farren for the suggestion!
Road Trip Effect Pro allows you to create an animated route through…well, whatever your imagination can take you.
Driving through Wyoming, we drove through snow. It will probably be the only snow we see this year. For those of you who get to experience it all winter, check out the FrontGate Heated Traction Maps. They melt snow, creating a path for you to get from your house to your car.
LaCie released a new drive that includes an HDMI port and a remote control. It’s called the LaCinema Rugged.
I’m loving my new Scottevest! If you’re not familiar with the company, they make Technology Enabled Clothing (TEC), giving you lots of options for storing your many gadgets. You can even route your earbuds through the jacket so they’re not hanging out and getting caught on things.

Cool! I haven’t seen Turner Falls since my family used to go there when I was a kid. I’ve been all over that place. That was… before you were born. You should do more of these outdoor segments. Maybe take a windbreak.

Road Trip Effect Pro looks great. I’ve been looking for a good lines-on-maps-for-video application. I’m going to give it a try.
I’ve had a Scottevest jacket (25 pockets) since last December. It’s great. At one time, I’ve carried an iPhone, iPod Touch, Kindle, Nokia N810, and an Apple wireless keyboard. It is a little weird though to reach into one pocket and wind up in another. A labyrinth!

Haha! No, we didn’t know about that jingle. Thanks for linking to it, or I would have been totally confused! :)

Hey Cali, I love your podcasts!!! i just wanted to say keep up the good work!!! Also I like how you have frequent podcasts that are short little updates and how you explain some of the new tech stuff out there! I have always love jacks with many pockets but wow over 12! Bye CALI!!

Wow, awesome backdrop! That jacket is pretty funny. If I had one, I might fill it up with scrapbook tools in addition to gadgets.
Oh Cali, I was just wondering, why do you have an ipod Touch also? To solve my ipod touch problems? :)

err… Cheese but no bacon? Huh? You weren’t even in Wisconsin!! I’ll put it down to you being out of your element ;)

You know what I think is most-amazing about this episode? Cali’s hair is flying around from the wind, and she’s moving things around in her jacket, but the mic is still picking up just her voice (just a few minor scratches from the jacket). WOW! That’s a great mic!
Too bad you’re not coming toward Cincinnati.

Gee, you went through Utah and we didn’t even know it. When you plan the Big Trip, put Logan Utah on your itinerary. We’ll hook you up with a couple of really cool tech companies in our neighborhood and take you on the “heart-attack run”. (There’s no actual running involved, but it does include visits to a couple of ice cream factories and the Pepperidge Farm Bakery’s outlet store).
BTW, what kind of mic were you using, or did you do voiceover??

Hi Cali and Neil, Curtis’ mom here. I just watched the video. Thank you so much. What a beautiful memory and tribute to Curtis. I know that was time-consuming but I loved it. You are so talented and I know you loved my Curtis very much. Thanks again.

First of all, Cali, Neal – YOU GUYS FRIGGIN ROCK!!!
You guys are sooo influential in the products I sample & buy. Items as subtle as those black (leather?) hard drive holders. Who makes them? The hard drives too?
KEEP IT UP!!!

Rich: those are G Drives. The covers come with the drives. We love them!
