Shownotes:
Remember when I had the Mophie Juice Pack on GBTV? I’ve been testing the FastMac iV and give you a comparison of the two options.
Amazon is working with companies to reduce the amount of packaging on the products they ship. This should reduce shipping size and frustration as you try to get to the awesome toy you’re waiting anxiously to play with! My package opener is OpenIt.
The Zoom Room offers a more automated approach to Murphy Beds.
You’ve heard me talk about the Rovio, a mobile communications robot. We’re very excited to announce that Rovio is a new sponsor! You can find out more at MeetRovio.com.

Nice comparison between the Juice Pack and the FastMac iV. I ordered a Juice Pack for iPhone 3G back before the software update made battery life much better. I don’t need it so much anymore, but I still hope to receive it some day.
Looking forward to hearing how the Rovio works out. It seems a very ambitious concept – I hope it works as it should!
And tell Zoe that the next time I see her, I’m barking at her! That roar has me scared…

I can’t decide what looks like more fun, terrorizing my dog with a Rovio, or playing with a Zoom Room (now you see it, now you don’t).

OMG…good content in this podcast but the best part ever was the lion roar at the end!

Rovio are great BUT… They don’t yet do WPA so to have it work you have to downgrade your wireless encryption to WEP. And we all know how poor WEP encryption is so it is sorta a show stopper for most of us who want to get the lovely little unit.
Almost think about getting a 2nd less secure wireless network for the Rovio but that is more work then one should really be expected to do I think.
A number of firmware upgrades and bata firmwares have come out for the Rovio and as of yet no official word from the maker of the device that they will make a WPA upgrade. Lots of rumors to that but nothing official I have seen yet. Maybe now that Cali is on the job she can ask the makers if they can get moving on the WPA fix! :)
All the best and keep up the great work.
