the Lacie thing is not a bad idea, However, a better design would have to be made for it to end up on MY Desk…. Love the show!

I found the Super 16 USB Hub at Brando. They have a pretty nice selection of USB goodies. The 16 port is here http://usb.brando.com.hk/prod_detail.php?prod_id=00560&dept_id=015&cat_id=039

You missed one of my favorites and one I though you would love – “The Hub Man” made it to my list of cheap gadgets for the Chistmas season – lalalalalalala (carol singing) – also available from ThinkGeek:

The host of GeekBrief had never heard of Dr. Who?!?!! Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
December 10th, 2008 at 8:34 am
You were unlucky enough to be born in the dark ages between Doctors. I grew up watching the classic Tom Baker Dr and have become a big fan of the new series. You can check out the new series on iTunes and BBCAmerica is currently showing Series 4 (BBC uses series instead of Season) If you find that you enjoy the Doctor you might also want to checkout some of the spinoffs; ‘Torchwood’ and ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’ Torchwood is definitely for adults while Sarah Jane is kid friendly.

What! Never heard of Dr Who? And you call yourself a geek – I’m insulted… Truly in shock actually. Follow Eric’s advice and feed your inner geek some much needed nourishment

Cali,
It’s wonderful to see you looking and sounding so good again. When I saw this news clip on Reuters, I immediately thought of you.
Think bacon!

Hold on, everyone!!! “Heard of” and “not familiar with” are two different things, haha!
Isn’t this a UK phenomenon, anyway? It’s not on TV in the US, right? Neal is older than me and he thought it might have been a James Bond character. ;)

Cali, no way! Dr. Who isn’t just a UK phenomenon. It airs on the SciFi Channel. SciFi also aired The Sarah Jane Adventures. BBC America aired Torchwood not too long ago and they also air Dr. Who. Torchwood and Dr. Who are available on iTunes. Joe’s link is the best but having more options is always a good thing. :)
By the way, I’m a huge fan! It’s good to see women in tech! It gives me comfort especially when I’m the only girl in my computer classes.
Oh I almost forgot, I love the LaCie USB hub. Sure it’s doing way too many things at once but it’s so cool! I’d totally get it if it were silver and/or black to match my 24″ aluminum iMac.

@Jessica: Ah, okay. Good to know! I haven’t had cable for a looong time. I guess I’ve missed out. :)
@Bob: Take a look at this page – http://www.geekbrief.tv/podcasting-tips It has some articles I’ve written and tips for getting started. Hope that helps!

I just bought this one. It’s pretty awesome in that it takes all of my flashcards too (even MicroSD !). Comes with a cable, so I mounted it with some fun-tac (sticky clay stuff) in a convenient location. http://tinyurl.com/54wwas

You can find the 16 port USB hub here: http://www.geekstuff4u.com/
This site also sells a lot of cool stuff. (It sells my favorite keyboard, the Happy Hacking Keyboard Lite 2).

I bought the boynq swing after it was first mentioned on the brief to be disappointed. It does not ship with a power device so I can sync my iphone thought it. I have requested the part number or specs from the manufacture to receive nothing. Someone must have had some of the same issues with this device and how have they over came them?

I’m shocked a fellow geek doesn’t know what a T.A.R.D.I.S. is! It’s an institution! :-p
Keep up the great work Cali & Neil :-)

I’m sorry, being a big doctor who fan I must correct you: it is Time and Relative Dimension in Space, not dimensions.
