@Dave Peterson, my little Nokia N800 handles .PDF files well enough, but the screen’s too small and I have to touch-scroll from right to left to read an entire line of text. I’m hoping right along with you that the CrunchPad will resolve that with not only .PDF files but other document types, too. ^..^~

One of my major tech hopes for this year is a light-weight, color touch screen tablet (with reasonable screen size) that I can use to read .pdf files. What I’m really looking for is a color Kindle, but I’m not holding my breath for that. Depending on its ability to join my home network, the Crunch Pad could be exactly what I’m wishing for. If so, I’ll buy it on day one.

You are right, everyone will want one of those tablets. They need to bring it to market ASAP. I want one. Just hope it has a headphone jack.

Whoa, that “screen speaker” sounds great. I would LOVE to see something on this for the iMac’s too. Anything to better the built-in world.

And yes, everyone will want the tablets. But I’m still a little iffy on it’s resourcefulness in everyday use. It looks too big to be “around the house” for something like a touch remote to control anything, and maybe pull up a quick email.

Just browsing might be ok, but w/ the ever growing need of flash and HD streaming, something this cheap probably will struggle to keep up. It’s one of the things I found killed my iPod Touch browsing experience, so many news sites and whatever have embedded video these days, and well, video podcasts and flash navigated sites.

But it’s a step in the right direction. Bring it on!
