I don’t get the point of this guitar (GB eps was fine). Real guitarists can tune a guitar. Its part of what you do. I think Gibson is embracing geek toys a bit too much. Not that I’m against geek toys, I’m a geek and watch GB all the time. But sometimes, a musical instrument should be just a musical instrument.
Line6, the Pod effects folks, did a similar guitar five or six years ago, got a lot of press, but it was not a huge success.

That was nice. Would be nice to try it with the Garageband lessons… Expensive too, but useful for the music guys.
By the way, Cali, after the recent Gmail updates from Offline support to multiple inboxes, Microsoft has rolled out updates to Hotmail. It now has ever growing storage, Maps in mail, Social networking updates for twitter and more… Check this out: http://tinyurl.com/d4f3yg

Love the content as always. But I have to ask … what’s with these high-tech chroma key backgrounds? I miss the homier setups that distinguish GeekBrief from the typical low-budget cable access look.
Keep up the great work. But bring back the big cozy chair from December!

Yes true. Any good guitarist can tune his or her guitar. But being able to switch between multiple tunings within a second is a HUGE benefit to any guitarist wanting to experiment or looking to save money on multiple guitars.

Amazing! For a gigging musician without a tech team this is pretty awesome.
