On Brief 512, we go back to Macworld where we talk about Savant, my favorite home automation system. We’ve talked about Savant a few times on GeekBrief.TV and did an interview on Geek Brief Radio, but Macworld was my first chance to see the gorgeous onscreen interface in person. Because the Savant system is built on top of OSX and uses Mac hardware, they take advantage of core animation and the result is a navigation system that looks really, really nice.
