Shownotes:
Apple’s announcement was Tuesday. iPhone 3.0 won’t come out until this summer, but it’ll bring some much desired features, including cut and paste!
Last week, I tweeted about the Dell Adamo, and now it’s been launched. At first, we thought it would a MacBook Pro competitor, but it’s actually more comparable to the Air. It’ll sell for $2000.
If you were in the Geek Brief family last year, you saw my breaking story about Woopra, a live web analytics program. I’ve never experienced an app or site that has taught me so much about my website. They released version 1.3, although in my opinion it should be 2.0, because there are so many new features. It’s not being pushed out to everyone yet, but if you’d like to give it an advanced look, you can download Woopra 1.3 here.
Android Live Folders will be a new feature that delivers live updates to Android phones.
I’m on my way to Los Angeles. Here are the details on the meetup. For more details about my LA trip, click here.
Sunday, March 22nd, Tourism Queensland will be holding an event and GIVING AWAY two tickets every hour to Australia!!! It’s being held on the lawns of the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, so it’s the perfect place for us to hang out and get to know each other!
Date: Sunday, March 22nd
Time: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location: Aquarium of the Pacific, Long Beach, California – on the lawns
There is no registration or RSVP required, but I would love to know who’s thinking about coming, so leave a comment below or send me a email! I’m looking forward to meeting you LA folks!
Follow my Twitter account for any updates on the day – I’ll post exactly where I am when I get there.

Well, we know you’ll have slim and none chance of doing football now. I also take it you’ve never played the “Madden” football games that have spanned over a decade.
The thing I was going to post, I’m finally staring to have have flipping iPhone envy. Ugh. Must resist!

The Adamo looks nice but I still prefer the looks of the Air. And the price of the Adamo should do at least something to silence the critics who say Macs are more expensive than PCs. The Air with 1.8Ghz C2D, 2 gigs RAM, and 128 gig solid state drive is $2499 vs. the Adamo with 1.4Ghz C2D, 4 gigs RAM, and 128 gig SS drive for $2699.

Cali,
Didn’t know if you’ve seen this yet…
REMOVAL OF CANDIDATE
Pursuant to the Terms and Conditions for the Best Job in the World, Tourism Queensland has decided to exclude Julia Yalovitsyna from the selection process. Given we are in the final stages of the selection process for the Top 10 and wildcard applicant, we will not be replacing Julia with another candidate.

There goes a waste of 50K+ votes!

The Big Bang Theory (FTW)… so jealous.
I was so excited late last year because the show ordered some bowling balls from our website. I was quick to reply to that person because I love the show as well.
I hope you get the chance to meet them. I can forsee the writer working GeekBrief.tv into one of the scripts. That could be HUGE for you and Neal.
Keep up the great work.

I’ve been meaning to get down to see that aquarium, so I’ll try to be there if nothing in my world explodes. Oh! and Fry’s was a medium size supermarket chain in the 70’s-80’s before they moved into the Electronics biz. I didn’t know there were still any supermarkets around.
Interesting trivia factoid, in Concord, CA the Fry’s Electronics is just a few blocks away from an old Fry’s Store, there is a short 1 block road, that if it extended through a parking lot, would connect the two, that street is called Fry Way, after the supermarket.

Cali,
Did you pick the blouse you were wearing to blend in nicely with the background, or was that just a happy coincidence?
I too was going to comment on the aquarium PC episodes, but after reading the posts, I felt like you had been beaten up more than you deserved (we all have our off-days). I have never understood the people who complain bitterly about a free, online presentation as if they were paying for it, or being forced to watch against their will.
Anyway, we (me and my students) still love you and look forward to your ‘casts each day (even though you’re a Mac and we’re PCs). We are also casting our daily votes for your “best job”. (I think everyone is hoping you will do your geekbriefs in a bikini…..))
