Shownotes:
I saw a sneak peak of the type of application Nokia is now releasing. Point and Find uses augmented reality, allowing you to point your camera phone at a movie poster and immediately pull up information about it on the web. There will be a lot of potential for these kinds of apps in the future.
Monoprice finally released their Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter, and it’s already sold out. Gizmodo says it does work with iTunes HD content.
GeekMyRide.org has a really cool project. Jon Oxer hooked up a computer to his Mazda RX-8 and made it one of the smartest cars around. Details in the show!

Okay, so in this episode we’ve got a web service that lets a cameraphone look at some item in order to find out more information about it, over the air. And a vehicle that has a webservice database built-in, that links to a cameraphone. Over the air.
If you point-and-find that same cameraphone at the Mazda, will it become self-aware?
Could Skynet really be started by a Tasmanian riceboy?

It may be old news, but it is related. There is a mini DisplayPort to HDMI with audio.
