Greg Grunberg is more than twittering Heroes celebrity, but through Twitter, he was able to make an idea come to life. His idea was Yowza!. It’s an iPhone and iPod Touch app that uses your location to find deals near you. If you’re out shopping, you can find out what stores are offering deals near you, in either a 5, 10 or 15 mile radius. The app also lets you search by city to enable you to plan ahead and still save money.
Greg explains how small or large businesses can offer potential new customers a reason to stop by, and why customers will want it on their iPhone. It’s free for customers, and can be found at GetYowza.com.

Given current fuel prices, Yowza! is a GREAT idea with real practical value that can do a lot of good. This is the kind of thing I about which like to hear and see, and one reason why I like to follow GBTV. Thank you for sharing it with us. ^..^~

Good idea, but it was done before. I worked for a company in the late 90’s that had this idea and it was working. But, Dot.com crash company disappears. Great to see it make a come back.

There’s absolutely no reason not to use coupons. I’ve become very fond of them, especially lately with prices in the grocery skyrocketing. Why wouldn’t you use coupons, its like free money!
