The Acer line of portables is a popular one with the local g33k community. 3500 USD would buy a handsomely configured MacBook Pro, a year’s worth of cellular Internet access and then some. Since I don’t like to store a lot of data on the same HD that runs my machine, I’d have no need for a HD as big as the Toshiba’s. That’s just ludicrously TOO big for most purposes. The audio and video quality of this GeekBrief episode is quite superb.
