Haha I tried to make a blue screen out of 4 blue poster boards too. :) Now I’m using 3 yards of green material from Wal-Mart. :)

Gosh you have come so far since geekbrief #001 no heh, the tests before #001.
Those blue lights in the “news room” are just awesome. If I ever visit the us, you have to let me over your house hah.
Great work. You really have come a long way. Maybe for ep 600 you do geek brief over time episode?

That was one of the most entertaining GB updates yet. I’ve always wondered what type of equipment is being used, and it is cool to see the video geekness for a change. You guys are totally awesome, and you rock!
BTW. I love the HD quality!

Wow, 7 hours?? REALLY??? That’s insane!
How much does the whole studio cost?

Thank you for posting this. I’d rather thought it might be a good idea to keep a video record of how GBTV changes over time, from both in front of, and behind the camera. I think it’s important because this is a relatively new media and you are its pioneering generation. Happy Friday! Robert

Love the setup!

You mentioned 15K hard drives in the Mac Pro. (or was it 10k drives?) anyway, since mac is SATA which drives did you select. I’m about to replace all 4 of my drives with 10K but didn’t realize industrial 15K drives were even available for the Mac.

Stupid question, but if you use the Electrovoice RE20 Mics, why are you wearing a mic clip on your shirt? Just one of those questions that inquiring minds want to know.

@Jeanie – the RE20s are for audio only. The lapel is for video only, so we don’t mix the two. Hope that helps!
