Join us for a GeekBrief.TV & Rocketboom meetup next Friday the 12th in Dallas, Texas! Andrew Baron, producer and creator of Rocketboom, is coming into town, and it’s a great excuse to all get together! :) Here are the details:
Date: December 12th
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Opening Bell Coffee, Downtown Dallas (300 North Akard #300, Dallas 214-665-2355)
There will be live music at 8:00 PM. Unfortunately, Neal and I will have to head out around that time because we leave for our Nashville Christmas Party the next morning. Feel free to stick around and enjoy the music!
Please RSVP by leaving a comment. See you there!

Hi Cali, that’s awesome, count us in!
Jennifer and I were actually about to email you about a new media mastermind group we’re starting locally for people actually “doing it” and really serious about new media.
Suggestions on parking down there? I’m not in downtown too much. :-)
Looking forward to it.

@Dan after 6:00pm parking meters are free in Downtown Dallas.
Opening Bell Coffee is also right next to the Akard Street DART Station if you are Mass Transit comfortable.
“The Mosaic Building” for which Opening Bell Coffee is located in has Valet Parking on Akard Street for $5 if you prefer or there is other city owned parking garages nearby for $3. You can find out more info about parking and getting around Downtown Dallas at http://downtowndallas.org/ForResidentsAndVisitors/GettingAround.aspx
Opening Bell’s front doors actually face the DART tracks/Pacific Avenue but our Address is 300 N Akard Street. Its easy to find so don’t worry.
I will be serving you all when you arrive so feel free to contact me if anyone needs more directions. william@williamedia.com
In true web 2.0 style I will also keep and eye on my twitter (@williamedia) just in case someone hollers out out to me.

I told Neal that we probably couldn’t come because we have two parties to go to tonight, but we might actually be able to stop by for a bit since it’s so early and close to the house. Hopefully we’ll see you guys there!

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
