Shownotes:
I grabbed Chris Brogan for a chat. He’s very popular, and spends a lot of his time trying to help businesses take advantage of social media and integrate it successfully in their business model. We talk about the dos and don’ts of marketing and how what matters now more than anything is just being real and nice.
In the video, I talked about my favorite hotel chain, Kimpton Hotels. If you ever have a chance to stay at one, give them a try! They’re pet friendly, which is the reason I found them.
I’m not sure if you’ll agree with me, but the heart of this show makes it one of my favorite episodes. Comment below!

I love these interviews. There should be a whole “In Bed with Cali” series. Keep up the good work.

Hmmm.. too bad you didn’t have pillow cases that are colored like green screen (so you can show the Kimpton Hotels web site, hotel logo, etc. :), or pillow-covers with a geekbrief.tv logo.

Awesome. I agree with everything he has said. There is way to much signal to noise going on right now.

Cali–xlent show. Inspired me to write a long post about Brands, Trust and Online Communities here: http://rezzable.net/web2-0/brands-and-online-communities-co-content-creation-getting-to-trust/
I think at least wear pj’s?

I think over the last ten years (excluding the last 2 or so) many businesses who have ridden a nice wave of growth lost touch with what it takes to grow a business or a brand. Without loyal customers your business will suffer over time. I think that is why we see so many businesses collapsing right now.

Fun video.
Note to videographer. It’s ok to stop the interview to fix sound problems if you hear them while filming.

I love that the minute any of us talk about loyalty to a company, the other person in the conversation wants to give an example. It happens to me all the time and I know when someone is talking about it, I have a list in my head that runs. THAT is what companies should strive for – to be the ones we are talking about. Great interview – nice job!

It is very interesting for me to read the article. Thank you for it. I like such themes and anything connected to them. I would like to read more on that blog soon.

@Bailey, you look like you know what you are talking about. Do you care shooting me your mail address? I would like to speak more with you.

I find what you say interesting. I work at a company that deals with marketing for hotels and always love to learn more about the industry. Keep up the great work!
