Wow. Cheap apartments just outside of Dallas are really HUGE! I guess I betray my NYC sensibility when I imagined you guys moving into two tiny rooms with no closets. And a nice long throw to to do the grilled cheese/ramen noodle long lens cooking show!
Glad you found a nice place to live before the Big Trip!
I get GeekBrief through iTunes and it’s been 6 days since I last got a show. I was beginning to think you had fallen off the face of the earth. I suppose if I followed your twitters I would know more but I’m not that advanced yet. Nice digs, but they’re still bigger than a bus, enjoy while you can.
I don’t know what this thing about getting a smaller place to help you get rid of stuff is? Since I keep getting successively smaller places, since I moved to the US…yet I seem to accumulate more and more stuff, despite my intention to get rid of some of it.
Though I did shed quite a bit stuff in the last move, but that’s because the moving van was over stuffed with what stuff didn’t get shed.
The only regret was my bike didn’t make it. I’m sure it would be useful for the commute to work….plus my doctor is saying I should ride for health reasons.
I wish I could get Internet like that at home….but even if I did, I’d probably still stay with having two broadband connections….
Very nice place Neal and Cali. I wish I could have lived in an apartment like that when I used to live in an apartment. I’m looking forward to seeing the new GeekBrief studio up and running.
While those glass-top stoves are awesome to clean dust and light spills off of they can be a pain to clean burnt gunk off of. Be sure to clean any spills up ASAP or you will have to purchase a cleaning compound to take off the gunk.
Other than can’t wait to for you guys to get settled in and start pumping out more awesome shows!

I love your new place! Especially the kitchen. You should do a cooking show once a week. :)

A smaller place means less to clean which is always a win. When does New Hampshire or the Greater Boston Area show up on the bus tour?

Pretty nice place guys – love the loft thing. My new place is much more pedestrian :)

Looks good! :) A big “Yay!” for half the rent of the former! A big double “Yay!” for the fiber-optic cable connection.!
Our public access Unix system hosts pictures of us wearing SDF T-Shirts at http://sdf.lonestar.org/index.cgi?sdfers. Idea for the “Big Trip” tees?

Oh, very cool! I like it. I hope it serves you guys well. Looks like you have a lot of work, so I won’t go on and on. Good luck!

Considering that’s half the cost of the old place, it looks really great. And the Internet upgrade is fantastic! Thanks for the tour!

Cali and Neal,
Very nice place…. Much bigger then most of the places I’ve lived in. Have a great time. Can’t wait till you take us on your trip to buy a new house.

I LOVE your new apartment!
BTW I have fiber at 10 down and 10 up (but I don’t have as much nice content to upload as you have!)
